Mont Tremblant Resort The official web site is www.tremblant.ca Mont Tremblant Resort is a large year round resort about one and a half hours north of Montreal. It is best known as a ski destination, but also features a lake suitable for swimming, and a golf course in the summer months plus many onsite activities such as water parks, biking, hiking and the ability to ride a Gondola up to the peak of Mont Tremblant. The name of the mountain, Mont Tremblant, means "trembling mountain" in French. The summit is at an elevation of 875 m (3,150 feet), which makes it the tallest peak in the Laurentians. Directions to Mont Tremblant from Ottawa Take autoroute 50 East. Get onto 148 East to Montebello. Take 323 North to Saint-Jovite. Turn left to get on the 117 North in Saint-Jovite. Take exit 119 (Montée Ryan) to Chemin Duplessis and follow indications for Tremblant Resort. 2 hours. Alpine Luge A fun-filled gravity ride on a 3-wheel-cart using a unique breaking and steering system that gives the rider a full control as you twist and turn down the mountain.
