Uhm I thought this was an Xmods site?
Of course this section is still dedicated to Xmods but I started to think about some of the new RC trucks being released and thought a comparison might be a fun way to introduce the competition so to speak.
The Team Losi Mini-LST Monster Truck is not available from your local Radio Shack and is aimed at the more professional RC market as the MRSP is $299 but I was able to find it for $199 at Atomic Mods
So what does $199 get you and how does it compare to the value of the Xmod?
That's exactly what I was wondering when I started all this so lets start with the finished cost of the Xmod Hummer to bring it into the same league as the competitor's offering.

Looks like a pretty complete package and decided to order one to see exactly how it compares to my Xmod Hummer, now to be fair this is a 1:18 scale and the Hummer is 1:28 so this truck will be close to twice the size of the Hummer! A smaller version called the Micro-T is 1:36 and who knows I may order one of these also in the near future. I ordered it from Atomic Mods on April 2nd and It arrived on Friday April 13th with a bill of $40.22 for GST and customs charges.
