Chris's 1965 Mustang Fastback Xmod

This 65 Mustang Fastback is the work of Chris Marquina and is an outstanding first attempt at fully customizing an Xmod that's right this was his first Xmod! Chris provided information on his build and the information is located below each photo. (click any photo to enlarge)

This is actually my first XMODS. I liked the car because of its muscular look and heritage. The body kit upgrade gives the car personality yet is simple and not too wild. I have the car set up for drag racing.

I started off with the 65 Mustang Fastback Mustang then upgraded quickly to the AWD but forgot to get the metal ball bearings. I installed the body kit for the car which also came with two wide rear racing slicks the command logic lights were also added.

I added dry transfer decals then decided to make use of the two lights on the front grille.I sanded off the mustang sign located in the middle and painted it with a silver marker then added the custom grille that you now see, the grille was from a door screen.

Then I moved the LED's to where the middle lights are. I'm still working on adding two more LED's for the driving lights, it looks pretty cool.

Upgraded to the hot rod rims and used the hood that came with the body kit to enhance the muscle car look. Since the car is set up for drag I use 'blue' coils up front and 'red' coils in the rear. I also doubled each coil to make the suspension super stiff, this is not recommended if you will be driving the car for track racing or making tight turns.
