Extreme motors require the best parts
I'm including some motor parts that I've seen around the internet, I'm including these parts for two reasons many of the parts are included in the motors I've reviewed and the same parts can be seen on many other motors for sale on the Internet. Knowing the cost and description of these parts will help you to figure out if the high cost is justified and these parts can even be considered as the benchmarks for any serious motor. I will not be reviewing these individual parts but as I've tested many motors based on these parts I can certainly say you won't be disappointed with any of these parts.

EGR/Atomic Motor Can Set
Expect to pay between $15.00 to $17.00 (Feb 2006)
This is an ultra high performance BB can. It features a very unique motor housing as well as super ventilated end-bell. This can is a must for motors which have high RPM. The brush positioning system is very unique offering superb contact to the commutator.

EGR Silver Brushes
Expect to pay between $4.00 to $5.00 (Feb 2006)
These brushes are silver and offer excellent conductivity and greatly increase torque and give your car more punch.
Ideally, use these brushes for max torque and motors that run below 6.0v.

"FAT" Silver Commutator
Expect to pay between $2.00 to $3.00 (Feb 2006)
This is a "FAT" silver commutator. It is very conductive and increases motor performance. |

Neodymium Magnet
Expect to pay between $6.00 to $9.00(Feb 2006)
Neodymium Magnets are the world's strongest natural magnets. Installing these into your motor will produce extreme torque and acceleration.
Magnets have a tendency to loose strength at high temperatures. I've seen some magnets that have been cured for high temperature exposure of up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. |

Performance Armatures
Expect to pay between $3.00 to 20.00 (Feb 2006)
These are the heart of any motor and can vary wildy from the number of turns (28T to 55T) to the wire used and I've seen Spiral Cut and Long Armature versions as well. If you are ordering armatures be prepared to do some homework as you'll need to know the expected current draw and the expected RPM. Many armatures are also sold without any wire and you are required to hand-build your armature to suit.

High Frequency 104 Caps
Expect to pay around $1 (Feb 2006)
High Frequency 104 capacitors are used on electric motors to reduce interference on the radio system and to prevent radio jamming.
